How do you explain to a child that she’s here because our forefathers decided it was a good idea to create a device to blow up the world, and practiced by blowing up parts of her ancestral home? Or that the air is orange with smoke and her school bus route is underwater because we are addicted to cheap consumer goods? That we could have stopped this, and could still stop some part of it, but we are choosing not to every day?
